Carter Road Race / Loyce E Harpe
« on: January 23, 2007, 06:59:12 AM »
Hey guys,
I hadn't heard about the race at Carter. I can't make it anyway because of the Cyclocross Race, but was wondering if anyone had any info on it?

It's a pretty big race. They have it broken up into 2 categories, hard and easy. i am planning on doing the easy category solo and using  the race as a training strenghtening  ride. Never done it before but checking past results looks like alot of fun.

No, I think that one is called trail to trail. This one is all at Loyce Harpe park but they have two separate courses. The red course runs all the trails and fingers, the corporate course only runs the main trail and maybe an easy finger or so, nothing technical at all on the corporate course, just flat out and run.  The red course will overlap onto the corporate course. The red course racers will start a few minutes before the corporate course racers.

Thanks for reminding me Steve. I haven't been there in about 3 or 4 months. I used to go there for a day ride alot and sometimes for a night ride after doing Alafia seeing how it's only about 30 minutes away. I don't think they allow night rides anymore except for planned group rides. I still need to ride there again soon. Maybe after the cyclocross races are over.
