Naming your bikes
« on: August 16, 2009, 04:39:09 PM »
Who names their bikes? What would be the inspiration for some popular bike names? Superheros, delicous peices of fruit, animals? When discussing rides with your freinds, do you use your bikes name like they are one of the crew? If so, you may need some help.

For me, I just call them my 'big bike' for the Intense or my 'xc bike' for the Blur or the orange bike or blue bike.

My bikes are named.  But I wasn't the one that gave them names.  Do I still need help?

Tom, you definetly need help. My black enduro was either Big Black, or Black B*tch depending on the ride. My new Rush, I could call Cranberry, but it seems that fruit names are all the rage these days. I don't want to be a copy cat.

Jonesy, I think you could get away with a fruity name.  As long as you don't start drinking fruity drinks, hanging out at fruity bars, or growing a 'gina.

My Wife calls my bike "My Wife".

My wife refers to my Intense as 'Her trip to Europe'.

I've got the SS and the bouncy bike. That's about as far as my names go.

They were actually named by a woman, and given female names.  I think that means she secretly wants to have a 3-way.  :D
