PROUD HUSBAND! yes sir!
« on: September 19, 2009, 07:53:37 PM »
Took the wife to Balm today, Ran into Garry & the crew doing the great job they do coming out of North Abyss with my wife, Yes! North Abyss with my wife.. 1st time in the 15+ times that we have riden there together and she asked me to take her in there..
I was like WOW! can you say that again?? Now, she's riden the whole park with no problems but always stayed away from anything that had a black diamond on it (except Baby Nessie)..

She only didn't make one climb in the trail and the exit climb cause there were people hangin there..I know next time she'll clear it all cause she clears Gator Pit's exit climb with no problem..

But DAMN! she made me proud, now i know she difinately deserved the new bike i bought her..

that is awesome! It is fun riding with the old lady. before my wife got pregnant with our little girl she was riding Reddick and santos with me. I want to get her back at it again.

I also took my wife on abyss for the first time a few weeks ago. She did great seeing it was her first ever black diamond. Proud husband as well.

My wife has great cardio and is a pretty good XC rider overall, but lacked the confidence needed on technical trails, i think the biggest factor on why she gave it a try this time was her new bike. i told her that more travel in the front would allow her to hit or drop into different obstacles with much more relief.

After this ride, the bike paid for itself!

Sweet!  Glad that she liked it. I think it is a fun trail without the heavy heart beat of a rush to clear.  Just plain fun.  Good to see ya'll out there.

Im pickin my girl up a Specialized Saphire XC from AJ's.  Good full suspension will definatly give ANYONE more confidence.  Shes been riding Abyss and Ridgeline (before it closed) on a HardRock Sport hardtail, and crashin like a champ!!! ;D
