Riding again!
« on: February 03, 2007, 07:15:25 PM »
Rode today for the first time in a week. Stretched the old legs out at Reddick. Got in two laps. The first one was real slick and muddy. Rode like the wind on lap 2. 26 miles in total. 2 areas under water. New cut is tough. Reddick is # 1 trail in Florida. No arguments allowed!

there was about 10 cars there. Fl. state champion  clydesdale division Charlie Brown graced us with his presence for a litle bit on the trail.  :D  One brave soul was showering after the ride. It was frickin cold up there. I think they are going to be open this weekend for night rides and camping.

I think you can only do it during races or special events. this weekend he is opening it up for people  to train for the race, specifically night riding training. It has water and porta johns for camping. Also you cannot have a camp fire without a burn barrel or enclosed fire pit. we are going to be there for the 12 hour race. Geting there early on friday to set up camp and pre-ride. no plans for this week end as of yet. I will probabably ride there on saturday again.

February 10 is open for night riding and camping.

The 12 Hours of Razorback, sponsored by Kona this year, is the week-end of February 17-18, 2007.  Riders from all over will gather for the yearly race to determine where everybody stands in the world of mountain  biking. Everyone rides the same course. If you want to know how you stand up against Tinker Juarez or Ryan Woodall or the guy at the bike shop, this is the race  to do it.  The times are posted for everybody to see. Don't be skeered now warriors, come out and plaaaaayyyyyyyy!     :D

Me and the family went to that a few years back and really enjoyed it. If you go on Tinkers website there are some pictures of him at Carter. I didn't think that I would be able to print them but I could. After trying it on print paper, I went ahead and printed them on 8x10 glossy photo paper. They came out really nice. Maybe I can get him to sign them at the 12 hour race.

Tinker would probably sign anything you got. I've seen him stop and talk to anybody and pose for pics for anyone. Very friendly. I wouldn't mind having a pic of myself with Tink,  now that I think about it.

Go on his site and click on the picture links. The pictures have the photographers name on it but it doesn't show up when you print it. There's five I think, two action shots that i printed and three still shots.
