Darrinw2001, stop talking you illiterate fool!  Clearly you cannot recover from your cranial rectal inversion...  So please do us all a favor and lurk on this one...

I stated in an earlier post that I thought that the trail maintenance was supreme!  Only that I wished that the Double Blacks be left alone or that I be told what level of sickness they are allowed in accordance with the rules of the state.

I am returning from months of physical therapy after I shattered my ankle on a 6' drop at lady slipper.   My skills aren't 100% yet.  The section of Moonscape that I am talking about was after the first ridge, the one with the sweeping left roll in over some nice rocks into a steep decent and into what used to be a killer berm but now is just totally useless.  In fact as I lay in the vines trying to get my shoulder back into its socket another rider ate it behind me.  Before on that same dh you could sprint into it, sky the rocks at the top stay wide right and pump into the berm at the bottom at full speed without braking at all...  Not like that anymore, so much dirt was added to the decent that now it is off-cambre to the right and enters the berm high where you cannot recover from the needed change in direction.

From Original Post:

"STOP TOUCHING THE DOUBLE BLACKS!!!!!  They are much better without your help...  Stop making the Double blacks into blue squares...  Leave something that is actually hazardous and difficult both up and down hill....  You and your short travel bikes have miles upon miles of "xc" trails to play on.  Leave Gatorback and Moonscape alone as you are clearly incapable of supporting them in any useful way.  Leave some diversity, the world of single track is not just for one type of rider.  Just because you can't ride it or it scares you, doesn't mean that you should make it easier, it just means you should ride something else!"

Sounds more like a demand to me... Not a request. Oh, and Eat Me. Be careful who you call out in a local forum, you may meet them on the trail one day....

he doesn't realize that the village people actually post here - that is an uncomfortable encounter when you meet face to face on the trails

The berm hasn't been there for awhile. The reason why is that a huge rut had developed down the middle of the trail that was channeling more and more water, accelerating the erosion. The decision was made to take the berm off so that the water had somewhere to go instead of just running down the trail. Get the water off the trail, so every time it rains it doesn't need to be repaired.
