Alafia 10/25/09

Rode everything yesterday, and almost everything was in prime shape.

Moonscape has some sections that need some trimming but other than that perfect.  The high ridgeline option is really gnarly right now but doable, I wouldn't fix it because really only the hardcore venture up there anyway.  The fix done on Doom is really nicely done, not sanitized just slightly rejuvanated.

Gatorback also needs a little trimming and some dirt thrown on the top of the climb that leads to the bridge around the right of the tree.  It only needs the entrance to the bridge dirted in, otherwise it is nearly impossible to get onto the wood without spinning out.

I saw a ton of places where work was completed and none seemed really overwhelmingly sanitized to me.  Thanks for all the work and thanks for not making things too easy out there.

There is a root on one of the last downhills on Gatorback that'll have to come out, it's about 6 inches in the air now. Other than some trimming on Gatorback and the first part of Doom I thought everything was in really good shape. Finally got to ride some of the stuff I spent all summer working on. :)

Art, I like the new line on the last long climb on Gatorback.  It's a little soft right now, but will be sweet once it gets ridden in.

No, I didn't make it in case you were wondering.   :-[

One last thing, after the FTF you guys will probably start seeing a few log crossings and maybe a few other surprises on some of the harder trails so Ride Smart and don't assume the trail will be the same as it was the last time you were there. We all should ride that way. Have FUN and Enjoy.

Sounds good to me. I can always use more opportunities to practice busting chainrings.
