The Trance is calling me.
« on: November 11, 2009, 03:37:58 PM »
I have the 29er up for sale, and just think at this point I am to old to ride a hardtail.  I have been trying to ride 20 miles 3x's a week, and the beating is killing me.  Maybe a F/S is the answer, or a fitting.  as always opinions please.  I have had a few folks interested, and need to decide what to do.

Also, I would put your bike on eBay.... Craig's list was just bringing me lowball offers on my 08' FSRxc for 4 days, put it on eBay and sold it in 1 day for full "Buy-it-now" price and it was local so no shipping. if you list it there, make sure you charge at least $100 for shipping since it is around $30 or $40 to box and another $60 + to ship... you have a much larger audience on eBay and better chance of getting full price.. eBay Listing and paypal fee's were about $50 on a $800 sales price...

The 2010 Trance X3 MSRP is about $100 less BUT it comes with Giant branded bars, seat post, stem, Juicy 3 brakes, and deore cranks instead of Race Face XC cranks, stem, seat post and Hayes Stroker Ride brakes.. I think the 09' was a MUCH better deal...

I am going to hit up Alafia, and see what is up, and maybe I will get a better idea of what is out there.  As always, it's the money thing.  I might just race the 29er and see how I do before scrapping it, and cut down on my mileage and where I ride.
I would just save for a frame, and do another build, but there aren't any cheap 29er frames.
Thanks for the advice.... :)
