Saturday seems better. since it will be cool out, we don't have to beat the heat. let's shoot for a 10 AM start.

Cookout after?

later is better for me, as i'll be driving up form tampa
What? college students can't get up at 4am to make a 7am start?  It is only about 1.5 hrs away from us.

the 10am start also accommodates those of us that are racing the crit earlier that morning

Rob-

Surely we are climbing Sugarloaf Mountain, the highest point in peninsular Florida?

Yeah but look at the run you get to take at it before you hit it, all most seems unfair to the poor little hill :) oh yeah +1 for Saturday

I saw lots of people walking up that poor little hill Sunday.  :o

Rob, what's the mileage on that little jaunt?

I have ZERO interest in doing a crit. After Sunday's shenanigans I'm thinking of trying a road race or two next year, but I'm gonna have to get comfortable riding in close quarters if I do.

FE, how did the HH go for you? Did you meet your goal? We were looking for you around the park Sunday afternoon but didn't see you.

here is the course for the crit - Rob's course runs right beside it - there is a ton of free parking there - would it be a good start point?  there are some other guys doing the crit that will want to do the 72 miler as well - it will also let you guys that have never seen a crit get to watch one before the ride

Bummer. It was a good time and very well-organized. Police stopping car traffic at intersections, great food spread at the finish and from what I hear the sags were top-notch.

as much as you hate close quarter pelotons MK - you might not like it

it is very NASCARish - a lot of action and fun to watch and participate in

Skipping sags for 100 miles again?  Slow down a bit will you...:-)

FE,
Pay me and I'll deliver you to the finish line so you can sprint and put the hammer down again.  With my slow sprint, I'll take the first leg of the Green train again.
