I'm ((((THINKING)))) about starting the night rides at Alafia again. IF I do what days would you like them to be. The only days I can do it would be Tuesday or Saturday nights and they would probably be every other week and would not start until after the park closes because everyone needs to sign a release.

I like the thought. I'd be interested. (Have to get a light first though). Either of those nights would work for me, although Sat. would be a little more convenient.

I'm interested. Saturdays would be better, but could do Tuesdays if start time is around 6:30-7:00.

Y'all suck. Saturday, unless the Tuesday option would start after 7. Would love an alternative to Flatwoods for night rides.

Any opportunity to ride at night is a good one, keep in mind that Tuesday night has rides at Flatwoods and Santos (from the shop 6:30). Having a second week night option would be great if the scheduld opens up in the future. Thanks for looking into access to a new site reguardless of the day.

Are there night ride restrictions for Croom? Because hauling ass down one of those long downhills sounds fun. I have a mental image of a high speed late night collision with wildlife though.

That is always possible at night. My count so far is 1 alligator, 4 armadillo's, 3 racoons, and 2 cats. Squirrels don't count.

Looking like it might be Tuesday. As far as I know Night Rides at Croom are OK. Croom is a BLAST at night, a bunch of us did night rides there for years, just watch out for drunk guys with guns running around in the woods and don't were white, you look like a deer.

My vote is for Saturday. I usually ride on Sundays with a group of people and this would encourage us to camp out on Saturday nights and generate more income for the park.

No because they cut out the log now. But we will have bayflight in case you bonk on the road from the parking lot to sandpine.

I say Saturday - there aren't enough night rides and I would hate to split the one night ride we have in 1/2 by doing 2 of them on tuesdays.

FE, Alafia night rides is for peeps that have MTBs and ride them, not roadies on the pavement to the campground.

This is a tough one... Tuesdays would be great, but there are some comments about "stealing from the other night ride" and that's a valid concern. Flatwoods isn't my first choice to ride, and if people stop coming it's going to get real pricey to conduct the night ride there. Thus screwing the people that do show up fairly regularly.
Having said all that... Tuesdays would be great, but any other day would be great too. I wouldn't mind a hump day night ride or something like that. Alafia is awesome at night. Especially moonscape.
