Just a short video of my brother and I on our favorite parts of Rollercoaster and Bridges.

Nice vid, not hard to watch like some of the shakey ones out there. I've seen some that can only be watched for a few frames they are so bad.

Didn't recognize the trails at first. Lens on that camera really flattens the terrain. The whoops on Bridges looked like little dips. Other than that though it was a good video. Good editing and it was surprisingly smooth.

we use the VholdR ContourHD 1080p now, we're all sold out till late this month but we give better deals then you'll find anywhere if you're interested. we're still to use the new cams on Offroading footage.

Sorry for the delay in responding, but I don't get automatic email notifications from this forum as I do at MTBR.
Thanks everyone for your comments and Happy New Year!
I should have made a note on the sections of trails. This video includes the "expert" loop on Rollercoaster, and the dips on Bridges. These are my 2 favorites.
The wide angle lens on the GoPro Wide reduces the jumpiness of the videos, but also reduces the feel of the drops. I guess you can't have it both ways; although a chest mount would help with the shakes.

Thanks. Not sure if I am going HD yet. Too long to process the vids. IMO probably not worth it if just posting on the web, but I would like to have a few videos in HD for home. I'll check out the "vh" though.

I agree with you.  HD cannot be true HD in a mini cam.  What it is is bumbed up resolution, then some lines of resolution removed to make it look crisp.  Ill stick to my GoPro.  If you want more depth on the trails, use the frame or bar mount.  it shows the true trail.  your head is whats flattening the terrain.....
Ill bunny hop you bitch!!!

Sorry to disagree, but the new hd helmet cams are true hd (1080), and the wide angle is the reason for the flattening, as the camera is mounted to my handlebars. Do a search on the MTBR forums for GoPro, and you will see hundreds of chats about these effects. We have been chatting there about this for years. I had a Tachyon XC before this and the narrow FOV made the videos very jumpy, but the terrain looked more realistic.

Thank you!(we were wondering who he was agreeing with)

It's funny that dude now says they're not tru HD Cams when he sat on the phone begging me to "Spot" him a cam for 45mins 2 weeks ago.

LOL! unreal how people change when they dont get what they want.

So Anthony, Look into the VholdR 1080p and if you're interested, i will have an extra cam that i had ordered for a certain some1 who is not worth me mentioning that burned their bridge with us that i will be looking to get rid off at a real good price.

Peace Out!
