Ididaride pics and stuff
« on: January 23, 2010, 10:20:36 PM »
My time was SLOW, but it was 15 miles more than I have ever ridden so I'll take it.  I didn't start the GPS right away either, oh well.

No, but my feet were numb for most of the ride.  I certainly felt like I earned it yesterday.

that bike is looking a little too clean Coach. I was looking for you but didnt see you out there. Awesome ride gonna take some pics of my ride today - havent cleaned it yet. You did miss a good meal at the Telford House as well. We missed the preride but we had an awesome time. I liked all the different terrain and even the mud and creek crossings, an added challenge.
wherever you go.....there you are.

The mud got a little annoying, but the creek crossings were very cool.  My drivetrain HATES me!

I was having horrible chain suck problems after lunch. My middle ring was almost unusable for the mud sections because it would suck the chain and bind up at the worst times. Problem cleared up after sag 4 though and I put the hammer down on the last 5 miles.

Any one know where the pictures will be posted? I see a link on SBA's page for photos but it's for members.

This is after the vast majority of the mud buildup was removed. Should have taken a before picture.

It just took me almost 2 hours to clean my ride.  I REALLY hope there is no expensive damage to any pivots, hubs or drivetrain from the repeated hub deep dunkings.

It was a fun ride, weather was nice.  IMO the section after Sag 2 should have been removed from the ride.  Ride a little, Hike-a-bike a lot, ride a little.  Creek crossing was nice.  With all the riders, the trails have to be ruined.  Too many sections that you could not ride thru and everybody trying to walk beside the trail tore it up.  I understand a couple of places, but they could have rerouted or removed some sections.

I think I saw several " This mud puddle sponsored by XXX Bike Shop" signs by each mud puddle.
Just my $.02.
What was I THINKING !!!!!!

I just regreased my rear hub when I had to replace a cone that got pitted so I'm not worried at all about that one. My pivots all use sealed spindle bearings so they should be fine. Just need to go around snugging things up cause I had an annoying creak for most of the ride. Sounded like it was coming from the upper link pivot but it can be so hard to tell with these sounds.

Rob Roberts and I had a Blast.

We hammered all day.

Even with the super tech, creek crossing and muddy sections, Still rode the fastest Ididaride ever.

AWESOME DAY!  LOVE THAT RIDE!

Karlos, we were last out of the chute. Missed the speech before the ride and were honestly the last people leaving the hill. We spent the rest of the day reeling people in. Scott got in before me and I rolled in about 4:15. So much variety in that ride.
