Squiggy who's doing it and in what class??
« on: February 03, 2010, 04:58:13 PM »
I am debating between Solo and three man team... :-\  Solo is attractive. A nice chill ride vs super hard short track sprints with your teamies counting on you.  hmmmmmm

Doing a 3 man team this year.  Keep an eye out for the Big Wheel Basterds.

I would LOVE to do this event... but, I must attend a class so I can get my butt promoted... which means, new BIKEY!!!

Paul, I think you should do SOLO. You are a stud, and I since you ran with a team at Carter, it's time to see what you REALLY have under the hood...  ;D

I will be watching the results eagerly though. I'll be up for any more after april... that's when my TDY slows down a bit.

I still think you should do SOLO!!!

I was going to do the Gainesville SERC that weekend, but a 6-hour race will be much better than an XC sprint for my buildup to the Cohutta 100.

Good thinking Harvey :) I gave up on Cohutta to free time and $ for a weekend tip to Pisgah. Maybe next year.

I have the best team this year.  Me, Myself, and I.  We are having some trouble with the entrance fee, but I think I will pay for me, and myself.

I'm signed up along with a group of friends, and we're up to about half a dozen one wheelers so far. We're all racing solo, but more along the lines of Chisel's thinking than because we're all OH SO UBER HARDCORE... we were worried about all of us getting a fair turn if we raced as teams :)

We're thinking about staging a critical mass out on the course, and see how you bikes like it THEN!

JUST KIDDING, we take up less space on the trails than a bike, with no handlebars or extra wheels... and the speeds we're going should make us easy to pass :D

After a Tour De Boyette a few weeks back with Darrinw &co that clocked in at 25+ miles and 6 clock hours, I'mthinking I should be in shape for 3 solid laps... I might try pushingthings out there on a test run between now and race day though, to see whether 40 is as out of reach as it seems.
