Not trying to stir the pot or create an argument.

Just asking if anyone read the article with this title in the new MTB Action magazine that just came out, would love to hear your thoughts..

Can you summarize the article in 2-3 bullet points?

They had two courses.

One single track climb about 7 miles
One road climb about 6 miles.

They both were on Carbon Tarmacs and Carbon epics

They were both doing time trials on each course.

South African MTB lost the roadie time trial by one  minute and half or so.
Schleck lost the single track time trial by 10 minutes plus.

6 mile road climb? Please, Andy Shleck trains to ride 150+ mile stages as part of 3-week tours. Let's see the MTBer do that. I can only imagine what horrible conclusions they drew from this BS.

It was a road climb used in one of the tour de france stages, read the article.

I dont really give it much creedance, nor do I really care, but it was interesting.

No offense scott. but I only know about 30 MTBEers that dont train on the road that would stomp us both in speed and stamina... its simply just not true... Its a falsehood.. but roadie riding is a good way to get some good skills in no doubt...
