I think its an awesome idea. The problem is simply clicks. they suck. I had a false perception of a few people due to the local club in my area. Mostly though, the members kinda suck when it comes to making new friends. they are two faced and very unfriendly for a sport that promotes good times and good people. I have never seen so many people who let there machoisms get in the way of making real friends. Now, I myself am a highly competitive person. I like talkin ish and like calling people out if i think they are puffin. But its the people who consistently bash others equipment, post ish they have like "i got a oh-ten blah blah, with blah blahs, and some cool * blah blahs, show up super geared for Alafia, record everything and post it (even crap) and have the balls to talk about other trying to promote the sport in similar way, just not as flashy. Tons of those f'in people out here are no good. Alot of the local club keeps tons of new riders from joining simply by their show and attitudes during first impressions. I myself will never again join a group for the simple fact that they never really take imput from members outside of the desision makers. The rest of us pay the bills. MTB EXTREME is an awesome idea as of now. I have tried to have simple gatherings and rides to promote the sport and no one shows. Or they show up to ride, and ride on past, without even a "hello". This is a sad showing of an Extreme sport community. This is coming from a 13 yr Snowboard instructor and trailbuilder/parkbuilder. Not that anyone has ever cared so far what I say.....
P.S. Darrin, you, by the way, are one of the people I was kind of an * to from the gate because of your club affiliation and the people you most associated with. You turned out to be quite cool, and reading your post, I can read between the lines, brotha.
Ride safe everyone!! Say hi when you see the metal bile with the zebra fork!!!
