Another Squiggy newbie question
« on: February 23, 2010, 11:48:12 AM »
A buddy and I are doing the beginner solo and I was curious.  When you complete a lap are near your vehicle?  Can you store your stuff and get to it?  Any help would be appreciated.

The way lap races work, once your in the scoring area there is a neutral exit and entry zone.  You can also just put a cooler with supplies in the feed zone or set up a table and handle things that way.

Or have your wife and/or friends come to help hand stuff to you.

That is funny as he!!.  "hey honey, do you and the kids want to come stand around in a parking lot for six hours and hand me stuff when I come rolling in every hour or so....?"  That's good stuff.  Just for fun, I'll ask tonight to see how hard she laughs.

I guess I lucked out.  My wife insists on being at all my events for support.  Of course we don't have any kids yet...I am sure that will change things.

My wife ran support for me at a 24 hour race.  She's the best!

If it's as it has been in previous years, it comes in/out on the shell road each lap. Put a cooler and supplies on the side of the road there and you won't ever have to leave the course if you don't want to.

Beer is a great tool to get people to come and help you at a race. Just don't give them too much or they will screw things up for you later in the race ;)
