It is not a guarded secret, but it will be in the Morris Bridge trails area only. We were out yesterday plotting the course with a couple different options. It will really depend on what shape Indian is in closer to race day before the final course is laid out since that is the most sensitive trail in the mix. We don't want a repeat of 2 years ago when it was very wet and the race was run on it anyway.

As of last night it will be right about 10 miles in length.

I have a good idea for both kids races also.....

I heard a rumour that it was gonna go over the big hill by the sand pits, with no bail out.   I beg the course makers...don't do it.  I don't want to break my neck.

Ride it a few times and it wont bother you any more. I'm not a hardcore rider by any means but if I can take my cyclocross bike up and over that little hill there's no reason for you to worry if you're riding a mountain bike.

Your thumb, my neck.  Don't wanna break anything.  You're talking to someone who's just finally made it thru Heartbreak Ridge.  The original weenie rider.

Can't wait to see what they do with the course this year.  I'm crossing my fingers for good weather.

heartbreak has ALWAYS been on the squiggy course (the last 3 years at least)  that "hill"  is akin to a small root.  Any of you that ride Alafia or Boyette that are afraid of that....maybe you should do the road race? Mwahahaha  that little hill is nothing.  I say close off the by pass and make 'em all go over it.  Big Chain style.

the course routinely is ~ 9 - 9.5 miles in length.

As race courses go this is prolly the easiest one out there....  though people do crash...  I did...had a blast of crash and scream like little girl too!

keep in mind as you sneak to left on that hill some of us will going over it with no mercy so sneakers beware.

and if it isn't a guarded secret...Darwin ----post it here....i dare you. >:(

I have seen a few people crash pretty hard on that hill.  It isn't all that hard but if you aren't paying attention you could easily suck dirt coming down that thing.
