chain powerlink question
« on: March 17, 2010, 06:45:32 PM »
I've got an old (15 year old) beater Trek 830 that I've screwed up a link in the chain trying to put it back together with a chain tool.  The bike's a 21 speed (3 x 7).  Is an 8-speed powerlink likely to work to patch this chain?  I just use it to run errands around town - no trail riding.
