4/11/10 Guided ride - Noob friendly?
« on: April 10, 2010, 11:40:41 PM »
I know it is a bit late to post this but...

Is there a 'new guy' friendly ride during the Boyette guided ride tomorrow morning? I just got my bike yesterday (after years out of the saddle) and would love to check out Boyette and learn some of the trails.

Thanks!

SWAMP's weekly group rides offer something for all levels.

We break up into groups we call A, B+, B,B-,C.  Sometimes A isn't offered as this is the gonzo more experienced rider who knows the trails well and can take care of themselves.

The B and C rides have a guide and a sweep, and regroup at intersections and when going to the next trail.  Some assistance is available for mechanicals, flats, etc.

The C rides are not as fast, don't take the more difficult trails, and is more of a leisure pace compared to the B group.

You can drop back a group, or move up a group if need be based on your ability, skill, and energy.

No one gets dropped this way, so you always have a group to ride with.  Great way to learn the trails too.

Hope this helps.
