I'd like to do either the 50 or the 100 solo. I might struggle with the elevation changes though.

Never mind the whole elevation change thing. I was thinking of Fools Gold.

Never ridden up there, and I am the original weenie.  A friend of mine is trying to talk me into going.  What's it like?

He said he's heard it's not technical, but lots of rolling hills.  How big are the inclines?  Any helpful insight would be appreciated.

Flat, twisty single track (like quadrants), sandy, hard pack clay double track road with open sun baking you all over.  The hardest parts/climbs are Canal diggins (think climb at the end of Pandamonium but not as steep and a bit shorter), Nayls Trail has a couple of small drops/ditches that are tricky but are just that, you drop in and climb out a la morris bridge type over by technopig but not as wide.  There is a sandy longish climb on Nayls on the way back from 484 (Shangri La section) that will make most walk.  Think Hartbreak sandy climb in Croom.  Or the ant hill on morris bridge x 4 and sandier.  There is no drop on the other side of it though.  You just climb up.  Going under bridge on 49th street has a rocky climb but shor.  There is another longish "false" gradual climb almost at the end getting back to the landbridge trail head.  There you go.  I just described the whole ride.  Easy piece of cake 25 mile ride.

Do it!

I think i have a pictures of some of these climbs.. I'll post some if you like.

The inclines are nothing to be concerned about. SP, pretty much described most of it. Canal Diggins could be difficult depending on the direction, all the steep slopes pretty much face one way but all of them are walkable if necessary. The big climb in Nayl's isn't steep at all it's just so sandy that traction is difficult to find (I motored all the way to the top and spun my wheel out when I went to give it just a little extra oomph to bump over the last root at the very top last time, I was so pissed). There another short climb in Nayl's that's a little techy in going east->west because you have to time your pedal strokes to avoid striking few rocks. Beyond that it's mostly rolling hills. Some of those hills are big by Alafia/Boyette standards but nothing crazy. If you can handle the hills at Croom you'll have no problems. None of the large ones I can remember of are even as steep as the climbs in East Meadow at Boyette.
