Note the changes in the Co-Ed class and >120 Beginner.
( Gary and I were moved to the correct class, from Co-Ed to >120 Beginner)

Wouldn't have thought the two of you are >120...

Two man teams= age of two, devided,averaged x 3 = more than 120.

Would have been same finish in under 120.
I'm 52 and Gary is older

I was wondering why these two were listed in the Co-Ed division.  Did they have a guy who dropped out and decided to stay in that division.  Not that it matters to me, just curious.

They'd be first in the women's division.  They did 8 laps; the top women's team did 7.

Gary had pre-entered with a girl who could not make it to the race for some reason.

He was nice enough to let me be his ( slower ) partner for the day.

They were supposed to change us at signup to the >120 Beginner class, but had not so I sent a note to RTR and they made the correction.

Yeah, I'm not sure how my buddy's wife Carol got into the men's solo beginner class either.

It makes one more person that I "technically scored higher than", so I won't put too much thought into it... ;D

Hmmm, I seem to remember my laps being a bit faster than the recorded official times. Oh well, had a blast anyway!

...and this will get your noodle... based ont the Podium at the event the 2nd place woman's team per the results posting got the medal and awards for 1st place, whille the 1st place team got the honors for 2nd....

I'm new to MTB racing. But in the FTR (Moto- Enduro and Hare Scrambles) there is a posting of all scores and a one hour protest period before finish awards are handed out.

With this being just a 'fun" race and not part of a series, mabe the incorrect placings don't matter so much like it would for a series.

Hopefully the series races are scored a little differently.

Was a fun event though!

Frank, way less controversy than the way sWAMP was doing it.  Trust me!  As for the one hour wait after results are posted.. after riding for that long, i wouldn't have the energy to stick around that long.  They did have the "unofficial" results and you could look at them about 30-40 minutes before awards.  That should be enough time to ask your questions.  Maybe motocycles races people have more energy to stick around afterwards since they did very little leg work :-)

Yeah right! Next time you see Mose Howard ( Current FTR 2009 Enduro champ and former Expert MTB race champ) Ask him how easy Moto racing is compared to MTB racing.. after all, all you gotta do is turn the throttle, right?

Unless we are talking about MTB studs that ride single speed solo events of 6,12 and 24 hours... then mabe Moto could be easier.

* Never been to the Swamp Squiggy but thought RTR to a good job too.
