All right folks,we all know it's that time of year to watch out for these dinosaurs. See the below story about South Abyss at Boyette and be forewarned. Be safe out there.
On south abyss, about 2 minutes into the trail, there is a gator nest close to the trail, off to the left, under some brush. The trail to the water is wide and noticeable. I was coming down one of the hills and the gator was spooked by my proceeding rider and sprinted towards the water across the trail. I collided with it T-bone style. I was able to scramble away with no more than a broken toe and some scrapes, but I think the gator will continue to use that path from water to nest across the trail. Very scary, I donít know if there is anything you can do about it, but I thought I should let you know.
