Boyette Quadrants
« on: May 12, 2010, 07:55:12 PM »
Does anyone have any idea how many miles are in the Quadrants?  If you started from Southwest and went to Southeast and then around to Northeast and then Northwest, what the mileage is?  Just an estimate?

Oh, I've forgotten whom I need to tell.   I know that there was trail work last weekend and I know they did a lot, but there's still very large tree down in SE Quad, prob somewhere around the cut through, but since I'm not familiar with the trails and had no idea where I was, that's only an estimate.   I was definetly on the SE Quad, and it was before red shirt.
It covered the entire true trail, but a few hardy souls had been able to make their way around it.  I could not. (sigh)

Thanks,

Jennifer

Thanks.

Met up with my friends later who'd done the harder trails and I'd done more miles.

Since I'm writing, can say that Golfcart is now my bitch.  Made it all the way through with no stops, steps, or falls,  for the first time today.  Woo hoo.

About a couple hundred yards into SE from Red Shirt.  Soon it will be gone.

distance in the quads depends on how many times you lose the trail and get lost

The SoutEast quadrant has an extra .75 mile if you take the long route.  If you take it from the red shirt, you stay on the left side of the Y intersection.  NO, not the first Y intersection where you pick SouthEast or NorthEast.  Is after that Y.  There is a second one.  Anyway, take it left and you do that extra loop.

It's after the entrance to Corkscrew but before the exit (assuming you ride Ridgeline, Quadrants, Ridgeline)

Hope that helps,

After, duh! But it is before the entrance to the Plunge. So that means it is after OMG and Max G's. :o

1.25 miles = .75 bike gps miles... hahaha

But I can never find that optional SE quadrant section either.  I usually get lost on the one way sidewinder section which you have to pass to get to entrance to corkscrew after the exit of corkscrew which is all after the plunge but before OMG and MaxG.  Btw, has anyone found Rudy's rest bench?  I mean, if you going to put a rest bench, put it where EVERYONE will see it.  Why hide it?

GPS loses some miles from tree cover.  :-)  Sandpine?  That SE section is so easy to roll into.  Leave the red shirt staying left going into SE.  There is a right turn just after the first bend into SE that is the shorter route.  I don't think I'm certain even where Sidewinder is anymore...LOL

I rode that Sunday and only dabbed once at the top of the narrow climb before the drop.  Almost over shot it as I missed my timing.  Other than minor hog damage the rest of it I thought was good.
