Looking for Boyette conditions
« on: July 10, 2010, 07:11:44 PM »
Riding Boyette tomorrow, anyone run it today?  I know Ridgeline is closed, but how are the rest.  Alafia wasn't too bad today, some of it was perfect.

With all of the rain I was surprised by all of the dry sugar sand traps. They'll get you every time!!!

We took Waynes picture first and then checked to see if he was OK. Sugar sand sugar sand wiggle wiggle.....Ass over head and knocked his helmet right off.

Hope he was OK and I hope the photo at the top of Big Drop was just a pic.  The conditions were very good out there today.

It's just a pic of big drop because it's a cool shot. The trail was closed obviously and that big tree at the bottom left tells my common sense brain never to try it. Wayne was fine and glad he was wearing a helmet and looking forward to buying  new one now.

Looked at Big Drop yesterday.  We have pavers to put down which will hopefully be a better fix this time.  Anytime there is a straight down like that rain and skidding is not kind to it.

Garry, I thought all of them were in very good condition considering the amount of rain we have had recently.  Even the switchback on Canyon was holding up well.

Hmmm... that picture shows yout he brake huggers + rain erosion.  There is a small amount of clay on it to make things slipery interesting.
