Stolen bike alert!
« on: July 18, 2010, 07:19:38 AM »
Alan Snel of SWFBD who puts off the annual Bike Bash events bike was stolen yesterday.  Below is the description.  Keep an eye out for it and let him or the police know if you see it.

----------------------------------------

"Just had my road bicycle stolen! Ridley white frame, red lettering, red water bottle cages, Bontrager wheels, black seat, Police Unity Tour seat bag, 50-53CM small frame.

Stolen from right in front of the Jan Platt Libe at 3910 manhattan Ave in south Tampa. Be on the lookout in south Tampa and in south Tampa bike shops.

Stolen about 3:45 PM Saturday."

He does have some connections, but yeah, my bikes never (or rarely ever in a controlled environment) leave my sight unlocked, and even when locked I check on them like a child sleeping.

I pulled up to Papa Johns the other day and some dude left his Felt road bike just sitting outside this liquor store. Would have taken anyone just a few seconds to toss it in the back of the truck.....NOT SMART!!!

Catman,
MadDog 20/20 is not very good for hydrating.  STay away from the liquor stores.  Unless you are there for "bike shopping" ...  ;D
