If anyone is looking to do something the weekend of Aug 14th. The Wild 100 is one of the best races you could ever do. Some of the best single track you could ever ride.

a true West Virginia back-country race

Race Description:  This race is a mountain bike marathon where the course length is determined by your own route choices.  Check in at six different checkpoints indicated on the Slatyfork Trail Guide each racer will receive at the beginning of the race.  You can decide for yourself which trail, dirt road or (minimal amount) of paved road is the best route to the next checkpoint.  The approximately 100K race will begin and finish at Elk River Touring Center in Slatyfork, WV.  No outside help to racers is allowed.

I just thought I would pass this on.

thanks,
