It was me. He got my wallet (well hidden...not in plain view at all) but didn't take my camera, which was right there.
The other guy who's car was hit also got his wallet stolen, but the thief didn't take his laptop in the back. They found the other guy's wallet in the trashcan, sans money. Mine didn't have much cash (less than $20) but he (assuming it's a he) took off with my 3 credit cards and charged something to a BP in zip code 33619.
The sheriff dusted both cars and got a good print off the other guy's car. The detective will (I'm assuming) get the video from the gas station so they'll have a video of the thief.
Credit card are already cancelled; new numbers on the way. Glass has been replaced (they were out at my house an hour after I called...it was the same guy who replaced my cracked windshield last week...I told him I never wanted to see him again) and I've got an appointment to get a new driver's license tomorrow.
I will be more careful in the future. I thought I was taking precautions by hiding stuff. Actually...it was hidden and he was lucky to have found it. There's no rhyme or reason why my car window was smashed and the other's weren't. Just not my day.
We had a nice ride, though.
