Flatwoods conditions
« on: August 20, 2010, 01:33:44 PM »
Hey -- Haven't been on my MTN bike in six months. Might have a chance to get out tomorrow morning. Does anyone know the condition of the trails at Flatwoods right now?

We rode there last night.  The area in the middle of the paved loop is pretty muddy in spots.  May be worth bypassing that part.  Other than that it was great riding.

I rode out there today, the sections (aside from those that are closed) were pretty dry. The section between Morris Bridge Road and Flatwoods were wet (it started raining on us) but otherwise in good shape. The middle section of the loop was dry except where the clay gulley is always wet but no higher than normal (pedals clear). The one section that was to be avoided was the section just after past the western side of the paved loop, it was like a lake between 37 and 38. Past that though, it was good to go.
