Alafia- newbie question
« on: August 21, 2010, 08:07:42 AM »
I've never been to Alafia. Do the trails have signs? I would be riding by myself (as usual :( ), and I don't want to get lost. I do have a map, but I was just wondering if the trails are marked.

Yes, the trails are marked.   Everything pretty much comes back to the multi use trail, so it's hard to get lost.

Have fun riding while some of us are stuck at work.   >:(

And beware of the ShoutBox bulley also known as TTT, he has been known to topple over on defenseless female riders ;)

Print out a Map from the Map Section.

Thanks, but I'm pretty slow. I've only been riding about 6 months. I can ride the intermediate trails at Boyette, but I always feel like I'm holding everyone back when I ride with a group.  Until I build some speed and endurance, I'm better off alone or with other newbies. Then I don't feel bad.

I like to ride at a medium pace. I enjoy the scenery and stop to take pictures/rest ect. Some of these crazy guys go balls to the wall the whole time. I'm not trying to race anybody and I certainly don't want to get hurt by going so fast I'm being careless. I just really enjoy the outdoors and bicycles. Why not combine them?   ;)  You could always start out with us and then break off to do your own thing if we go too fast. My group always stops at the end of each trail to wait for slow pokes.
