Santos conditions???
« on: August 21, 2010, 03:49:40 PM »
Anyone go to Santos today or recently?  Thinking of going tomorrow.  Alafia is in bad shape, Boyette is OK, Carter is good, but looking for something better.

Haven't been to Santos for a while, but it usually handles wet weather better than everything around here.

All of Santos is in great shape. Some sandy spots here and there, but otherwise no problem, unless during or immediately after rainfall. Lots of recent trail maintenance....I rode out to LB and back this past Tuesday, and noticed several areas that were just trimmed and deadfall cut/cleared. Respect the reds and please stay off of them when they are wet/muddy (probably preaching to the choir here though).

Enjoy !!

Rode there last Sunday conditions were perfect, recent trail work, rain beat up the pump track a bit and they had some covered up

A 'good' ride is one that you can walk away. A'great' ride is one after which you can use the bike again.

Santos was PERFECT!!!  No rain, very little sand.  Fast and tacky.  Got there at 8:15, ran from the trailhead to LB and back.  I should have kept riding, but needed to get back.  I have video of a somewhat funny OTB I may post.  We'll see.
