Friday evening anyone?
« on: August 26, 2010, 06:59:46 PM »
Looking for someone to go to Carter tomorrow around 5:15-5:30 p.m.  I would prefer to ride Boyette as it is closer, but it was a mess last week and it rained all week.  Anyone game on short notice.  Planning to do one full lap (all fingers inc. and Big Red if conditions allow).  For me that is about an hour and 15-30 mins. ride time, not inc. stops (not fast).  If anyone has any trail conditions for either, please post.  Thanks.

I would love to go to Alafia, but I have heard it is in Terrible (with a capital T) condition.  If that is incorrect, please advise.  I am only 15 min. from Alafia (from work).  Lately, the only decent local track has been Carter.

I know the double track out at Boyette was almost unrideable before the last three days of rain.  I can't imagine it is any better now.  A couple of fairly reliable people have said Alafia is in as bad a shape as they have ever seen it.  I did Carter last week and though there was some standing water, the trails were all in good shape.  Disclaimer:  I have not ridden it or heard anything about it in the last three days, but I think locally it is the only option.  I would love to be wrong, but haven't heard anything to the contrary.
