Mulberry Gap
« on: August 30, 2010, 11:03:48 AM »
Not sure how much publicity this place gets, but I stumbled upon it while on MTBr.  My brother in law and I did a quick overnight trip to Ellijay, GA and decided to stay there.  I was very impressed with the setup as you can camp or do the cabins and the place is built for mountain bikers.  The meal options are great and the fact they will take you to the top of the mountain if your legs are trashed was a nice bonus.  Also, this was first time we rode the Bear Creek & Pinhoti trail systems and were impressed.  Anyway, figured I'd let people know if they weren't aware.

Ginnie and Diane are the greatest... Also visit Mike Palmeri at the Ellijay bikeshop and let him know you are a swamper.  Did you check out all the swamp gear at the rec room?

You know, we didn't even make it to the rec room except to peek inside.  We had an early night since we drove 8 hours that day and rode on the trails a good 3-4 hours.  I agree, Ginnie & Diane are really great people.

Just added them on facebook.  Thanks for the tip.
