This maybe a long shot but have anyone tried negotiating with immediate neighbors? There are at least 4 other entry points that have some connectivity to the trails.

#1 entry from land fill entrance road north of 672 where road bends there is a fire road due west that connects to green trails in the park.
#2 entry from police shooting range (probably off limit to public but it does connect right across alafia entrance) to sidewinder via off road.
#3 entry from shooting range at hobson simmons road due south. There are a couple of homes there too but through off road it should connect to top of the climb in gator pit right where that fence is.
#4 fire road north of scrub preserve parking lot. I have seen gates there but that fire road eventually leads to the trails.
#5 is north of 672 right where that paint ball park is. there is a little housing development and a bunch of farms.

sight i know i know.. might as well wait a few weeks instead of trying to reinvent the wheel.

        They don't want the liability.

We only get this access once a year for the FTF after months of back and forth discussions

#3 entry from shooting range at hobson simmons road due south. There are a couple of homes there too but through off road it should connect to top of the climb in gator pit right where that fence is.
They don't want the liability or traffic.

#4 fire road north of scrub preserve parking lot. I have seen gates there but that fire road eventually leads to the trails.
Very sandy, worse than the present 2-track going in, and an area of interest to the Nature Preserve, so off limits.

#5 is north of 672 right where that paint ball park is. there is a little housing development and a bunch of farms.
