Santos Landbridge to 49th ave th single track closed

FYI: The single track from the LB to the 49th ave trailhead is closed until further notice. The State is doing a scrub jay area restoration. Contractors wil be removing all trees in an area just west of the LB.  You will have to use the limerock road until they are finished ( may be a couple months). Trucks will be crossing the limerock road, but should not be traveling on

The Canal Diggings loop should still be open if you want to get a Nayls warmup in.

So pretty much the Christmas section is going to be stripped? and Nayls is going to be OK?

it's actually only the first half mile area or so just west of the LB. just had to close the whole trail from 49th TH until the work is complete. Once complete, it will open back up and just have a open, brutally hot section in the summer. We plann on using some hardner material there through what will be a pretty sandy area.

Nayls area will be untouched
