« on: September 17, 2010, 07:08:51 PM »
So I got my new mtb shoes today, and was checking on the shipping progress of my new front wheel and starting thinking about all the new bike stuff I have bought in the last couple months.. Just for my Giant, not including all the stuff I bought for the back-up bike I sold.. Wow..

new WTB Pure V saddle
New Sram Chain
New Sram pg970 Cassette
New rear wheel (Hope pro 2 hub, Mavic XM719rim, etc)
New front wheel (Hope Pro 2, Mavic XM719 rim)
New Thompson set back seat post
New brake Pads
Gels, Bars, Electrolytes
Tubes, lube, grease
Tools

Repair stand
Shoes, Helmet, Gloves, Jersey, socks
new Time pedals

Funny thing is I still need things like:

New Tires
new bike computer
New headset
new shock pump
Stans tubeless kit
and I am sure 1'll find more

So what you are saying is....when you buy a Giant you need to do a ton of upgrades to make it a proper bike?  ;)

Thats why I suggest you people to spend as much as you can on your initial purchase  because after all the upgrades you end up spending more. I should have followed my own advice.

I'm in the hole for a wheelset and tires this month.
I've just been telling the fiancee she's lucky I don't have a more expensive hobby like a meth addiciton....or fishing.

I think he said something about a frame as the final upgrade. Guess that Giant isn't so great.
