Helmet Camera
« on: March 13, 2007, 09:03:02 PM »
Has anybody had any experience with a helmet camera?  I have a bullet security camera, a mount, and a power supply.  Just ordered a digital camcorder to hook up.  Planning on filming the trails that we ride on.

Hey Bunny, want to help me film Rabbit Ears? ;D

Anybody want to do Moonscape, Doom, and Gatorback?  :o

It will be a couple of weekends.  First, I got to received the camcorder, and make sure everything works.  The camcorder is not that big (4.1" x 2.6" x 1.6"), and the camera mounts to the helmet with a velcro strap.  Easy to attach and remove.  When I get it, I will let you know.

Ken,

Here are the sites I get info from.  I bought a color security cam several years ago from a place in NY or NJ for about $50, and bought a battery pack and mount from Viosport a couple of months ago.  Just ordered a AIPTEK camcorder on Wednesday and in sould arrive on the 21st.  Then I can try it out :D ;D.  I will let you know how it works.
