Bi weekly ride
« on: October 22, 2010, 07:30:14 PM »
My friends and I meet every other weekend and ride.Next sunday we are meeting at northshore pool downtown st pete and we ride down central ave to the beach and back usually stopping at fergs for lunch. We average an easy pace of roughly 10-12 mph 7 miles each way but go as slow as the slowest rider. But some of us branch off for stairs and jumps also playing follow the leader at times.
If interested meet us at northshore pool sunday the 31st at 9:30 am between the pool and the baseball field.Sometimes 10 of us show other times 2 of us show,ya never know. This week we will have a new guy who is very new to mtb riding so we are staying urban to see his ability.

That would be a cool ride if I lived in the area.

7 miles?  It's about 15 miles to the beach from downtown.

15 miles? Isn't St. pete only like 8 miles at the widest part?

Fair enough.  Move your starting point to 7th Ave. N. E. and Beach Dr. and it's 10.6.  I was looking at the easiest driving point.  Just goes to show a bicycles worth!
