It is a good event and was my first 50 miler last year.  the conditions last year were pretty bad in some sections.  Too much mud.  It is not technical at all.

50-ish mile tour up in White Springs, FL which is off I75 just north if I10.  I've only done it once and it was super muddy from it raining the week before.  I heard the year before it was really cold.  No difficult tech.  Mostly rolling terrain with climbs similar to maybe Croom or parts of Santos/Nayles.  Course also includes a fun river crossing.  There are SAG stops about every 10 miles and a lunch at the halfway mark.  Also dinner afterwards.

The event fills up fast.

I'm in. This will be my 6th yr. It's a fun event, I would hate to miss it. Some pretty unique trails with some nice views of the Suwannee River.

Depends on whether or not I get the time/money for a crankset/BB for the SS.  Unfortunately I have some other priorities right now.

I don't know.  Every year it seems like its cold, and raining.  I hate cold, and can't handle wet feet! :)

Other than first thing, the temps have been great the last two years. There was no rain two years ago and only rain the days leading up to last year, not the actual day before or day of ride.
Problem is, it rained all week leading up to last years ride :'(

All I know is I always here wet....cold, and had to tear my bike apart from the mud.  Not that this year will be the same. I do know everyone did mention fun!  ;D
