Trail changes Sept 2
« on: September 02, 2006, 11:23:26 PM »
Wow, the North Creek trail is getting ready to become even longer.

The trail crews spent the work day today putting in the beginnings of two more bridges as well as rough cut another quarter mile of trail. When the new sections are complete the North Creek trail phase II should be complete for the Fat Tire Festival in November.

The recent rains from this week are evident with all of the water systems (lakes, creeks, etc) filled with water but the trail still looked in great shape as drainage is mostly very good. (only walked sections of North Creek)

There will be another 3 scheduled trail workdays between now and the FTF.

Join the next workday and help us add on to this very popular trail.

Send e-mail to Art (at) SWAMPclub (dot) org for more information.

Yeah, that new bridge will rival the entrance to gatorback in terms of thrill factor when its done. I look forward to hopefully making it to the next workday on the 16th also.

Wow I rode the north creek today and the newer parts of the trail were outstanding.  I love the ending -- way cool  :)

To all who have worked on this trail -- Great job!  I applaud your effort.  This is fast becoming my favorite trail -- even though I crashed on it today  :-[
