I understand what your saying but a recent visit to walmart to browse bikes in search of  a bike my boys could follow me with on the trails. http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Product_10052_10551_1093341_-1_20000__400122#ReviewHeader

None came close to this bike. Looking closer at the specs, it comes as well equipped as the a1 aluminum specialized hot rock at $400+ and trek m220.

Ive googled the parts on this bike and searched the walmart web site before reponding to your reply as to have my facts straight and I see nothing that even remotely similiar to this bike.

Im just letting people know who wanna by a bike a little better made and equipped then a walmart bike but dont wanna pay a mark up at a local LBS for a giant, specialized or trek (which I cannot afford) to take a look at this.

GT is still a good bike and that certainly beats a NEXT or Roadmaster.  Their Peace9er always gets great reviews and it is somewhat of an entry level 29er.  Some of their higher end bikes are also very nice.
