This has to be the best suspension design I have seen yet on a MTB.  I took a couple of Newzealanders to grasp that MTB suspension has always been flawed with the low pivot design.  I was always curious why no one had yet tried to make rear suspension like modern MX bikes where the rear tire under load travels up and away rather than up and in like modern MTB's.  Also, check out the gear box and drive train.  Apparently it only weighs as much as a standard setup but now you can shift up/down while stopped or coasting.  Also, they claim to have eliminated pedal bob.  Watching their release video of the G1 I would say their claims are true, the suspension hugs the ground like crazy and looks extremely stable and plush.  I guess 9.25" of travel will do that...

I didn't think it was that bad.  I agree though, certain music has become the norm for mtb shred videos.  Kind of like watching Iraq/Afghanistan war compilations and hearing "let the bodies hit the floor" or "click, click, boom"...gets old.
