WHEN: Saturday 4/16, 7:30am
WHERE: San Antonio Athletic Complex parking lot: 12750 Oak St., San Antonio, FL
 
It has been almost two years since we had this ride.  I had a humble experience at the hills last Saturday.  So more HILL time is needed.  This is a BRING YOUR SKINNY tires road bike ride.  Bring a map since self-proclaimed hammer droppers will show up at this ride and WILL drop you.  A GPS will be useful but not required.  You can do 30'ish, 40'ish, or the entire 60+ miles of this route:  http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/31476042

Starting to come together, so far we have Mr. Pine, me, danO and neighbor, Jonsey, Tracy, come on san ann virgins don't let Mr. Pine skeer you away, this will be a no drop ride :)

It was a good ride. Almost forgot the pain that place brings. Im sorry I bailed on the Trilby route but needed to attend to family matters and was a bit gassed as well. The last few miles back in was challenging as well with the wall of wind. My neighbor popped his cherry and was quite impressed with the terrain and the friendliness of the group. This is definitely a ride worth attending regularly.
Only a little dissapointed as I only got 39.7 mph not the 40 plus I needed!

PART TROIS in the works for next Saturday 4/23 same time. This time it will be nothing but sprints up each hill.  DanO - was scott smiling from ear to ear aftewards?  He wasn't smiling walking up ice cream hill.  I was concern for him when he saw triple step climb.  I tried to encourage him by telling him it was the LAST climb of the ride.  Of course, I lied.  :-)
 
Triple Step climb = the 3 climbs on Church Rd over I-75 when you turn left after doing Ice Cream Hill.
