Ok, got my first scratch , and my first stumble tonight. Mike stopped short in front of me around a curve. I still don't know why he stopped, but I didn't see him and I was actually moving at a decent pace. I dropped my left foot to keep me from falling, and the pain was only very minor. Of course my pain scale has been altered dramatically in the last few months.
I can't wait till they let me clip back in. What an adjustment it is. The funny thing is that I am having trouble keeping my right foot on the pedal in the right postition.

1Mutt,
I hope we didn't scare you off.  I was surprise our conversation didn't get out of hand much much earlier.  That is basically what we do on Thursdays.  Go out and everyone helps out everyone else who has a tough time with certain section of a trail.  I am glad you turned from spider burn.  When we got to East Medows, we saw this cool red snaked and we stopped to get some pics of it.  Then Thumper had a flat so it got dark on us way back out there.  We road out in complete darkness with SASHQUASH chasing us.

Hey Sandpine,

No you did'nt scare me away and I found the conversation to be anything but boring, you all were a fun group to ride with.  I liked the pace and enjoyed riding sections that I had never ridden before.  Thanks to everyone for the tips, hope to ride with you all again...c

Benji if you're still riding in another month, I'll be out at Boyette pretty regularly during the week. I also ride pretty slow, usually average between 9 and 12 mph. I also stop and take breaks....A lot of them. I teach school, so ride daily throughout the summer.

oh yeah no prob, I will be riding all summer. My work schedule is kinda wierd though. I have a rotating swing mid day changes through all 3 over the course of one month.  Sounds good though.  Let me know when you want to get together.
