Ride of the Living Dead route ride - Oct 30th
« on: October 11, 2011, 01:59:15 PM »
When:  Sunday, October 30th, wheels on dirt at 8:00am sharp

Where:  Santos Trailhead

What:  Join us for a 50+ mile ride to commemorate the cancelled 2nd Annual Ride of the Living Dead.  Those souls who join us will ride last years route backwards through Santos, Landbridge, Nayles, to Ross Pairie.  At Ross Pairie we will refill our bottles and ride back to Santos.  Last year's route is mostly singletrack but does include some fast rolling doubletrack.  We can stick to singletrack or ride the exact route as is...depends on what the group wants to do.

At the end of the ride we can BBQ at the Santos Trailhead or hit up a local restaurant.  Depends on group interest.  Obviously that needs to be decided ahead of time.

Costumes are optional.  Pants are mandatory?

Scanned copies of the map.  Photobucket cuts the size down quite a bit.  If anyone else can host them w/o any size limitations please let me know:

And for those that are interested here is the optional route through the reds.  The ride will skip this part.

For food we thought it would just be easier to grill stuff up afterwards.  So far we have the following:

Murf:  hotdogs and burgers
Alan:  buns, condiments, and a six pack of Dale's Pale Ale

Still need chips or whatever anyone else wants to bring.  More beer would be great.  :)
