Getting ready to move to St. Pete area. Appreciate any info on mt. bike trails, etc. See there was a big ride today. Sorry I missed it. Hope to meet some new riders here. Veteran of 8 ICEMAN Cometh races in Michigan. Ride a Gary Fisher (not Trek) Superfly 100 and Intense Spider. Thanks for any G2.

Welcome to the area intense 8 we we ride year around except when weather goes below 60 and is too cold outside for us Floridians.  Don't melt when it gets to 95 and hellish heat outside.  Visit the www.swampclub.org web site for all the trail information.  Besides the trails SWAMP mantains here, we have Loyce H Park (aka Carter Rd) in Lakeland.  Visit the Ride Riders web site for the info.  We also have Santos mantained by OMBA.org.  San Felasco in Alachua (see friends of san felasco web site).  If you go south there are some trails in North Port but I really like Alva trails.

And don't worry about your GF or Trek as long as it is a 29er.  More swamp Shout Box points if is a Single Speed Hartail rigid.   ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thanks for the info. I love my Superfly 100 (red/white/black). Was thinking of Superfly SS as next addition. Look forward to meeting people on the trails.
