The newest Boyette Sidewinder trail segment is OPEN
« on: April 18, 2012, 04:32:00 PM »
Tuesday April 17th - the newest Boyette Sidewinder trail segment is now OPEN!   :D

Don’t be lazy riding the shorter SwampThing to Ridgeline. Following Sidewinder up the hill, over the jump, past the bridge, and THEN... plunge into the newest addition to Sidewinder. Never flat... never straight... ending with pump bumps... exit to the right and enter SwampThing’s “other end” towards Ridgeline. Don’t overlook a visit through twisty Garry’s Loop on approach to your next Ridgeline pass.

When you are done... please, please, please return to the forum topic and input FEEDBACK! – your ideas and what you like/dislike. Together we can make better trails for all.

Your humble trail builder, Jeff White

Jeff,
Anyway we can build a shortcut right into the entrance to Ridgeline?  I ride the new section of SwampThing but usually on my way out after I am done with my laps on Ridgeline.  Mainly because when you are done with that new section of SwampThing you have to ride "backwards" on the old SwampThing back to Ridgeline.  I know it is now a two way trail on that older section but it just feels like you are riding backwards.  I haven't really looked at the terrain to see if a more direct route could be built to the entrance of Ridgeline but would be nicer.

That is probably the same reason why Corkscrew doesn't get ridden as much.  I ride it once on my first lap but not on all other laps.  It just feels like you are going backwards.  :-)

Thanks for all you do.  Boyette is only getting better and better because of all your hard work.

I understand your feelings - my motto is "AlwaysGoForward" ! But, if one thinks about riding in Florida mtb parks - we do pedal backwards/forwards a lot... Ridgeline is a perfect example. I consider it: diversity.

Loved the new section. It had great flow and a little bit of challenge to it. The back trails at boyette are in awesome shape right now.

Great addition. The entrance cought me off guard I was sliding all the way down. Very narrow and had to use a lot of caution but I made it out in one piece.
