Another Stolen Bike
« on: September 04, 2012, 11:03:31 AM »
White YETI ASR. Taken from my garage in Sarasota yesterday. Yes it was locked, I went out back for 5 minutes and someone was able to manipulate the lock. Possible suspect was going door to door at the time looking for work. Described as white male in mid 40's with a beer gut.

Bastards......I keep mine in my dining room and my sons in his room. I've been a victim of a 1k+ being ripped off. I am super paranoid. It aint like a car being stolen as a car is nessesary and has to be replaced but a bike is not and you take a hit replacing it. Hope you catch the bastard.

I'm paranoid too. My bikes were always kept inside until we had the kids...

If you have State Farm home coverage, you will be ok.

When my bike was taken I printed 8x10 photos and took them to all the pawn shops and put my number on the back of them..Just an idea.

I've got a question.  I saw a kid in the hood riding what I suspected was a stolen bike.  His buddies were riding Next bikes or whatever, but he was on a gold Trek with egg beaters and he had tennis shoes on.

No proof, of course.  What would you do in the same circumstances?

What neighborhood was it? Was it in Tampa (City of Tampa/Tampa Police).
