Why ride it like you stole it when you can ride it like you OWN it?

Just because a person is on a bike, does not make them a cyclist.

Wait no charge on violating the 3 foot law?

BTW. I believe there are bike lanes on U.S. 19 up that way, they are marked triple black diamond!

WOW, that is scary. I stick to the Pinellas Trail, mostly. On occasion I will get up real early and do a run up the Beaches and back(before the crazies head out to the Beach). And even then there are usually 1-3 near misses. Definitely be carefull on the roads. At least in the woods it is usually our own fault if we go down .

Get hit by a car on the road or robbed/mugged on the P-trail.  Seems risky either way.  ;)

Yep. 16th Street St. Pete to Gulfport is my favorite section to avoid.  Just past the Tyrone Square parking lot is 2nd.

I ride that area all the time. I just keep moving and don't make eye contact LOL. Most of the time I ride that stretch in the early a.m. to avoid the night crawlers. Have had a couple of issues , very minor, with groups of teens. But I never stayed in one place long enough to hear what they where saying. Plus I grew up hanging out in that area, and probably know most of those kids parents :D.
