Best trails after rain?
« on: August 23, 2013, 11:57:17 AM »
Which trails are better after all the rain we've been getting?  I assume some parks are drier and shed water better than others.

More to the point: is it time to move to Croom yet? I was hoping to get another couple of runs in on North Creek and Bridges @Alafia before they got too sloppy. Anyone been out there recently?

They are usually okay if you give them about a day. Would stay off the clay part of the last half of bridges though.

I recall last summer getting to about this time of August before it got too nasty. I haven't been out since May (?!) so I was curious how they've been holding up.
I try to get there around 9ish before it heats up, but I wonder if the trails have had enough time to shed the mud from the late afternoon deluges.

I rode alafia last week and it was perfect, had a couple big rains since but it seems to be draining well :)
