2013 Fat Tire Festival
« on: August 26, 2013, 06:17:27 PM »
Hello,

I am truly wanting to attend the Fat Tire Festival this year as many of my MTB family have said it is an ABSOLUTE must!  However, I am not a camper. Pitching a tent in the woods is not my idea of fun. I looked into, and will likely rent an RV, however, it appears all the RV sites are reserved, I'm hoping by the event organizers.

Does that mean that If I am one of the first 16 to buy tickets and request an RV spot I will have one? Or are the sites already rented out to individuals outside the organizers?

I would hate to go and not have an outlet as a generator can be quite disruptive. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Mari

It is "Festival Camping", the club rents out the entire campground for the weekend and people share sites both tent and RV.  That means often having to share electric and water hookups too.

First, Garry speaks the truth.  Second, it's best to get there as early as possible.  Coming in late Friday will leave you wanting shall we say.  Place will be packed.  I can only imagine since we were just featured in Outdoor Mag's Top 10 Festivals.  Remember to grab those tickets on Sept 1.

This will be my first festival. Any info on where the tickets will go on sale? A link or someplace to watch will be helpful.

Thanks!
