Wilderness Trails condition
« on: September 27, 2013, 03:43:47 PM »
Hey - Anyone been to Flatwoods, Trout Creek and/or Morris Bridge in the last day or so? Are the historically dry trails still dry or is everything soggy? Thanks.

Was out last weekend and it was rideable. Only one small section was underwater on the Flatwoods side and it was a very easy bypass. Could use some maintenance as some sections were pretty overgrown. There also looks to be a fair amount perhaps boar damage(?). There are sections that are quite dug up making for much narrower single track.

The hole in the fence section on the other side of Morris Bridge is much drier and in great condition.

I went out again today and was able to ride the section that was previously un-passable. It was quite muddy, but I got through with a lot of effort from the old legs. Still very overgrown, but it was rideable. Looks like the crew is getting a maintenance posse together to take care of it.  8)

Did about twenty miles there Sunday, pretty much all is rideable but suggest to go to Alafia and Boyette and have more fun, expecially if you ride a hard tail.
